The September DPHOAC meeting focused on updates and discussions regarding the harbor's market study, boater concerns, and other future plans.
Christian Gagne provided updates on the ongoing market study/appraisal, with two primary appraisers under consideration. An overview presentation was made regarding additional boater concerns received and the finalized Q&A document addressing the concerns to be published and available on the DPHOAC Updates webpage.
Supervisor Foley announced the County's engagement of MGT of American Consulting to conduct a compliance audit of the DPHP & Drystack LLC Leases. She also shared updates on the DPHP hotel planning commission hearing process and the construction of the Coffee Importers space at the Ocean Institute.
Scott Fegley from O.C. Parks discussed the progress of the OCSEC space planning effort and the need for outstanding questionnaire submissions. He also shared that there has been no news at this time regarding the grant request for the OCSEC docks.
Committee members and attendees raised various concerns, including relocation needs for the Outriggers Canoe Club and questions about the Ocean Institute's Maritime Village concept.
