SUPERVISOR KATRINA FOLEY ANNOUNCES BOARD AND COMMISSION APPOINTMENTS

SANTA ANA – Today, Supervisor Katrina Foley (District 2) announces eight new appointments to Orange County boards and commissions, which were approved at the April 14th, 2021 Board of Supervisors meeting.

Full list of appointees include:

Susan Dvorak, Newport Beach (Orange County Airport Commission) - Term concurrent with 2nd District Supervisor’s term of office

Alexander Gonzalez, Costa Mesa (Orange County Veterans Advisory Council) - Term ending 1/2/23

Michael Wellborn, Fountain Valley (Orange County Parks Commission ) - Term concurrent with 2nd District Supervisor’s term of office

Ada Briceño, Stanton (Orange County Human Relations Commission) -  Term ending 4/12/23

Muriel Ullman, Newport Beach (Housing and Community Development Commission) - Term ending 6/30/21.

David Lee, Corona Del Mar (John Wayne Airport Arts Commission) -  Term concurrent with 2nd District Supervisor’s term

Lawrence Grihalva, Fountain Valley, (Emergency Medical Care Committee) - Term ending 6/30/21.

Rev. Rayna Hamre, Huntington Beach (Community Action Partnership of Orange County) - Term concurrent with 2nd District Supervisor’s term of office.

 

“Our appointees were selected for their diverse backgrounds and the professional experiences they bring to the board,” said Supervisor Foley. It’s always been my goal to ensure we have representation on the County’s approxmimately 85 boards and commissions which fully represent the true fabric of Orange County, and my appointees are a key step in that direction.”

“I particularly wanted to highlight Susan Dvorak’s nomination, who has been selected for her knowledge and understanding of the impacts of John Wayne Airport (JWA), and will be a fresh perspective to the commission. I am gratified that so many of our community members answered our call to serve, and look forward to seeing what our appointees will accomplish in service.”

Supervisor Foley’s appointees will serve terms of service that are commiserate with the requirements of the board requirements. The County of Orange has approximately 85 Boards, Commissions and Committees, with applications for appointments open for the public to apply.
