Orange County Supervisor Katrina Foley to Host Parade and Reception for Hometown Olympians in Orange County’s Second District

Santa Ana, CA - On Sunday, September 12, Supervisor Katrina Foley (2nd District) will host a parade in partnership with the City of Newport Beach to honor Orange County’s Olympians. The parade begins at the Balboa Pier and concludes at Veterans Memorial Park in front of the American Legion in Newport Beach, where there will be a reception. The public is invited to join for the family friendly outdoor celebration. We encourage all participants to wear a mask during the event to keep our community safe and healthy.

When: Sunday, September 12, 2021
Parade: 9:00am: Balboa Pier (A St.) 
Reception: 10:00am: Veterans Memorial Park at the American Legion(215 15th St, Newport Beach).

“It is my honor to congratulate our hometown Olympic athletes for their outstanding achievement,” said Supervisor Foley. “They made Orange County and our entire country extremely proud. I am looking forward to celebrating them on Sunday alongside local elected officials, military veterans, police and fire departments, and community members.”

Supervisor Foley will be joined by fellow Orange County elected officials, including Assemblymember Cottie Petrie Norris, State Senator Tom Umberg, Congressmember Michelle Steel, Newport Beach Councilmembers Diane Dixon and Joy Brenner, Costa Mesa Mayor John Stephens, Seal Beach Mayor Joe Kalmick, Laguna Beach Mayor Bob Whalen, Los Alamitos Mayor Mark Chirco, Orange County Water District Board Director and Mayor of Westminster Tri Ta, and others.


Supervisor Katrina Foley represents Orange County’s Second District, which includes Costa Mesa, Cypress, Huntington Beach, La Palma, Los Alamitos, Newport Beach, Seal Beach, Stanton, the unincorporated community of Rossmoor, and portions of Buena Park and Fountain Valley.
