SUPERVISOR FOLEY MATCHES $50,000 REWARD FOR INFORMATION ON DEATH OF SIX-YEAR-OLD ROAD RAGE VICTIM

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Tuesday, May 25th, 2021

SANTA ANA – During Tuesday’s May 25th Orange County Board of Supervisors meeting, Supervisor Katrina Foley (District 2) pledged to match $50,000 in reward money leading to an arrest in the fatal shooting of six-year-old Aiden Leos, a Costa Mesa resident who was killed on Friday, May 21st during a road rage incident on the 55 freeway.

“What happened to Aiden is a devastating tragedy,” said Supervisor Foley. “I am heartbroken for his family and particularly for his parents, Joanna Cloonan and Jose Leos. I want to do everything in my power to help bring the shooter to justice. The $50,000 reward from my office, will join my colleague Supervisor Wagner’s matching $50,000, and support the Cloonan family’s original $50,000 reward. It is my hope this adds 150,000 reasons to encourage the public to send in any tips and information they might have, directly leading to the arrests of the individuals involved in Aiden’s death.”

Supervisor Foley’s pledged $50,000 will match Supervisor Don Wagner’s (District 3) pledged $50,000 in a reward, supporting the Cloonan family’s original $50,000 reward.

The Cloonan and Leos families also have GoFundMe pages, which have been set up by family and friends, and can be accessed at: https://bit.ly/3fHd3U3 and https://bit.ly/3hSeKR8.

Anyone with any information is asked to please call the California Highway Patrol (CHP)’s Santa Ana office at: 714-567-6000.
